Definition
A vein is a blood vessel that carries blood toward the heart. It can also mean a line of mineral in rock or a particular style or mood, as in in a similar vein. Do not confuse it with vain, meaning conceited or useless.
意味: vein は、血液を心臓へ戻す「静脈」です。岩の中の「鉱脈」や、in a similar vein「同じような調子で」のように話し方・文章・考え方の「調子」も表します。vain「うぬぼれた・無駄な」と混同しないようにします。
