unconscious

Translation

意識を失った / 意識不明の / 無意識の

Meaning

Unconscious most often means not awake and not able to respond because of injury, illness, sleep, or anesthesia. It is stronger than asleep because awareness is absent. Do not confuse it with subconscious, which describes hidden mental processes.
