一時的な / 短期間の / はかない
Meaning
Transient means lasting only a short time, passing quickly, or not permanent. It can describe feelings, symptoms, populations, electrical signals, or moments. Do not confuse it with transitory, which is close but often stresses a stage that will pass on the way to something else.
Examples
- その副作用は一時的で、数時間で消えました。
The side effect was transient and disappeared within a few hours. - 旅行中の出会いには、短くはかない美しさがあります。
Encounters while traveling can have a transient beauty.
