Meaning

A group of people who work or play together to achieve a shared goal. 'Our team won the championship.' In British English, team names are often used with plural verbs: 'England are playing well tonight.' In American English, singular verbs are more common: 'Team USA is winning.' Both are correct — just be consistent.

    She is the leader of the project team.
