Meaning
A switch is a small device you press, flip, or slide to turn something on or off, typically an electrical light or appliance. It is also commonly used as a verb: 'Switch off the light.' or 'Switch the TV on.' Japanese learners will recognise the word as a loanword (スイッチ), but note the English pronunciation is slightly different from the Japanese katakana pronunciation.
