successive (C1)

IPA: /səkˈses.ɪv/
Definition
Successive means following one after another without a break, or in a sequence. 'Three successive victories' means three victories in a row. 'Successive governments tried to solve the problem' means government after government tried. Do not confuse successive with successful. Successive is about order; successful is about achievement.
Three successive victoriesは3連勝。Successive governments tried to solve the problem.
