reliable (B1)
IPA: /rɪˈlaɪəbəl/
Definition
Consistently doing what you say you will do, or working correctly every time. 'Reliable' describes both people and things. 'She is a reliable employee — she always meets her deadlines.' 'This is a reliable car — it has never broken down.' Japanese learners sometimes confuse 'reliable' with 'honest', but they are different: an honest person tells the truth; a reliable person follows through on commitments.
She is a reliable employee.'(彼女は信頼できる従業員だ)、'This is a reliable car.'(これは信頼できる車だ)。'
