inference

Translation

推論 / 推測 / 推論による結論

Meaning

An inference is a conclusion you draw from evidence, clues, or reasoning, rather than from a direct statement. It belongs to the person interpreting. The trap is confusing inference with implication: an implication is the hint; an inference is what you conclude.

Examples
