Meaning

Implacable means impossible to calm, satisfy, or persuade to stop. It often describes an enemy, opposition, anger, hostility, or pursuit that continues without softening.

Examples

  • 彼女はその計画に対して容赦ない反対者でした。
    She was an implacable opponent of the plan.
  • 謝罪しても彼の怒りはおさまりませんでした。
    Even an apology could not soften his implacable anger.
