CEFR B1

grateful

Translation

感謝している / ありがたい / 感謝の気持ちを持っている

Meaning

Grateful describes the feeling of being thankful for something someone has done for you or for something good that has happened. It is a warm, sincere emotion directed toward another person or toward life in general. 'I am grateful for your help' is a common, natural expression. In formal writing and emails, 'I would be grateful if you could...' is a very polite way to make a request — much more formal than 'please'.

Examples
