校訂する / 文章を訂正する / 本文を修正する

Meaning

Emend means to correct or improve the wording of a written text, especially a manuscript, quotation, edition, or scholarly text. It is much rarer than amend. The learner trap is using emend for contracts or laws, where amend is the normal word.
