decry

非難する / 糾弾する / 公然と批判する
Meaning
To decry something is to publicly criticize it as wrong, harmful, or unacceptable. It is stronger and more formal than complain about. Do not confuse it with descry, which means to catch sight of something.
Examples
- 人権団体はその新しい制限を強く非難した。
Human rights groups decried the new restrictions. - 批評家たちはその計画を税金の無駄遣いだと糾弾した。
Critics decried the plan as a waste of public money.
