Meaning

Coruscate means to flash, sparkle, or give off sudden bright points of light. It is a literary or learned verb, much rarer than sparkle or glitter. The trap is using it as a general synonym for shine in plain writing.

  • 湖面は朝の光を受けてきらめいていました。
    The lake coruscated in the morning light.
  • シャンデリアが舞踏室の上でまばゆく輝いていました。
    The chandeliers coruscated above the ballroom.
