contact
Translation
連絡する / 接触する / コンタクトする
Meaning
To contact someone means to communicate with them — by phone, email, message, or in person — often for a specific purpose. 'Please contact me if you have any questions.' As a noun, a 'contact' is a person you know who may be useful, especially in business ('a business contact'), or a contact lens. For Japanese learners: コンタクトする is already used in Japanese, but in English the verb 'contact' is very versatile and used across all situations — formal and informal.
