Meaning

Chronological means arranged in time order, usually from earliest to latest unless another direction is stated. It describes the sequence of events, not how long a problem lasts. Do not confuse it with chronic.

• 報告書は出来事を時系列順に並べています。
  The report lists the events in chronological order.
• 履歴書は職歴を年代順に示すべきです。
  A resume should show your work history in chronological order.
