Meaning

Bouillon is a clear broth or a concentrated cube, powder, or paste used to make soup or stock. It is cooking vocabulary. Do not confuse it with bullion, which is gold or silver.

Examples

  • 鍋にチキンブイヨンを一つ入れてください。
    Add one chicken bouillon cube to the pot.
  • 彼女は野菜ブイヨンでスープにうま味を足した。
    She added flavor to the soup with vegetable bouillon.
