barmy

Translation

ばかげた / 少し気が変な / 酵母で泡立った

Meaning

Barmy is chiefly British informal English for silly, crazy, or not sensible. It is usually playful but can be insulting if aimed at a person. The learner trap is confusing barmy with balmy, which means pleasantly warm and soothing.
