Definition
Ambiguous means unclear because more than one meaning is possible. It is often used for wording, instructions, answers, laws, data, or signals. The learner trap is using ambiguous for your own mixed feelings; that is usually ambivalent.
意味: ambiguousは「複数の意味に取れるため曖昧な」という意味です。wording, instructions, answers, laws, data, signals など、言葉や情報の解釈がはっきりしないときによく使います。学習者が間違えやすいのは、自分の気持ちが揺れているときに ambiguous と言うことです。その場合は普通 ambivalent です。
