Definition
Allusive describes writing, speech, art, or music that makes indirect references to other works, events, people, or ideas. The reference is hinted at rather than explained fully. Do not confuse it with elusive, which means hard to find, catch, or define.
意味: allusive は、文章、発話、芸術、音楽などが、他の作品・出来事・人物・考えを間接的にほのめかすことを表します。説明し切るのではなく、気づく人にだけ分かるように示す感じです。elusive は「見つけにくい・捕まえにくい・定義しにくい」なので別です。
