Meaning

Adhesion is physical sticking, attachment, or joining between surfaces. It also appears in medicine for tissue sticking and in law in adhesion contract. It is not the usual word for following rules or principles; that is adherence.

  This glue has strong adhesion to metal.
• 手術後に組織の癒着が起こることがある。
  Tissue adhesion can occur after surgery.
