訛り / 発音の特徴 / 話し方の癖

Meaning

An accent is a way of pronouncing words that can show where someone is from or which language community shaped their speech. It is not a mistake by itself; say a strong accent or a regional accent.

Examples

  • 彼女は少し訛りのある英語を話します。
    She speaks English with a slight accent.
  • 彼の声には地域の訛りが聞き取れました。
    I could hear a regional accent in his voice.
