Meaning

Accelerate a vehicle so rapidly from a standstill that the tires spin against the road surface, often creating a screeching sound or smoke.

Examples

  • The driver peeled out at the green light, startling everyone at the intersection.
  • If you peel out like that again, you are going to ruin the tread on your tires.
