Definition
The state of two or more sets having no elements in common, meaning that there is no overlap between the sets.
Examples
The sets {1, 2, 3} and {4, 5, 6} have a nonintersection because they do not share any elements.
In graph theory, two edges have a nonintersection if they do not share a common vertex.
The nonintersection of two sets can be used to define a new set that contains all elements that are not common to both sets.
