Meaning

A person who intentionally or unintentionally provides incorrect information or guidance, causing others to form a mistaken belief or take a wrong course of action.

Examples

  • The politician was accused of being a misleader for presenting biased statistics during the debate.
  • In the complex negotiation, it was hard to tell who was a genuine advisor and who was a misleader.
