The clear, watery fluid filling the space in the front of the eyeball between the lens and the cornea.

Examples

  • The aqueous humour provides essential nutrients to the avascular tissues of the eye.
  • Increased pressure within the eye, often caused by a buildup of aqueous humour, is a primary indicator of glaucoma.
